"My first goal with every client is to find out the clients' needs, desires, and goals are. My definition of a successful transaction is one in which all three of these areas have been met."
Sheila Lawrence has been a full time Realtor since 2000. With extensive experience in transactions involving a wide range of properties types...condos, single family homes, estates, rural and urban properties, as well as multi-unit apartment buildings. She enjoys the challenge of providing excellent service in the daily changing scenario of the Real Estate market. She is especially adept at marketing and negotiations and has been very successful representing both Buyers and Sellers.
The endless variety of Real Estate and also the opportunity to assist her clients in what she considers one of their most important decisions is what Sheila loves about this line of work. She highly values the relationships she develops with her clients during the process and is always available to act as their Real Estate consultant for any question or need that arises after the transaction is completed.
Having lived in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean Ms. Lawrence did not feel she had found her true home until coming to Sonoma County in 1994. This has been the first home she has absolutely fallen in love with because of the vibrant artist community, diversity of its population, picturesque beauty and dramatic coast line. Being in Real Estate requires driving all over the County on a daily basis and she couldn't be happier doing it. (She would like to acknowledge her trusty Toyota here.)
In line with her interest and strong belief in investing in Real Estate, Ms. Lawrence put together and taught a class for investment property owners entitled The 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange through Community Education at the Santa Rosa Junior College from 2006 through 2008. The primary aim of the course was to teach people how to accomplish a successful 1031Exchange--selling one investment property and purchasing another while deferring the capital gains taxes. Also covered were the various types of exchanges, how they apply in different situations and the common mistakes and misconceptions regarding 1031 Exchanges.
